Conviction is a vital ingredient every minister of the gospel requires for a successful ministry. You need to ask yourself as a minister, “what do I believe? What are my convictions”?. Nothing can stop or limit your success once you are certain of your convictions. The Apostle Luke while writing to Theophilus in Luke 1:1-4, talked about the ''certainty of those things which are most surely believed among us''.

To convince others; you must first be convinced yourself of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. What does the gospel represent to you? How do you see God's word? As a minister of the gospel, you must first be convinced of the integrity of God’s Word. In essence, you must trust in the soundness and dependability of the Word of God. You must be unshakably convinced that you can rely on it.

You must also be convinced of the reality of the gospel. According to Hebrew 4:12, it is living and active. You can expect results from the word of God. The Bible says in Numbers 23:19 ''God is not a man that He should lie…'' It follows therefore; that you must be convinced of the efficacy of the word of God.

This conviction means that you trust absolutely in the effectiveness of the Word of God and its ability to produce the desired results. The word of God, according to Isaiah 55:11, does not return unto Him void. Your conviction shows up in everything you do or say as a minister of the gospel. It makes you more than a messenger, it makes you the message.

Your conviction will cause you to preach the gospel with urgency, knowing on your inside that it works. A convinced minister will win inside first; winning on the outside comes later. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

When you minister the Word, whether to an unbeliever or sick person you will have an assurance that they will receive the Word and that the Word will produce result.

The word that you preach, will bring salvation to the unsaved and bring healing to the sick. You will have a definite assurance that the Word cannot but work!. With this knowledge, you will experience ministry without struggle but with ease in the power of the Spirit.
